Understanding The Concept Of Ready Made Houses

We have all heard of a pre engineered shed or portacabin that is being built in farms and on construction sites. These seem to have a limited function and that is a widely known concept. However, there is only a little truth to this statement. These portable cabins are used not only for corporate purposes, but for personal purposes as well. Families get these houses made for their personal requirements and organizations get these made for their employees who are working on contract basis. There are several other such causes that are being served by these famous ready made houses.

A common question that arises among people's minds is that how are these houses temporary yet durable? It is true that lightweight wall panels are used in the making of these cabins, although, it is also important to know that even if these are not as heavy and may seem not durable as such, the quality is top notch which makes the walls look like normal, permanent buildings. Not only the time required in the making of these buildings is saved, but also the construction cost is reduced significantly. Therefore, day by day, these portacabins are becoming famous and are being used for various purposes in various areas.

There are different kinds of portacabins even. Some are constructed in a workshop or a warehouse where the parts of the cabins are made and installed together to be transported to the location of choice. Then there is another kind where the parts of the portable cabins are made in the warehouse and these parts are then transported near to the location where the house to be set up. The first kind of cabins are termed as pre engineered or PEB buildings, and the second kind are called modular homes. These modular homes are installed closer to the place where it is to stand and generally this is done when the location is farther from the original workshop of manufacturing.

Among the many, the most common and preferred type of panels for walls are the sandwich panel walls. The name is derived from their making. There is a 'sandwich' in the name because there are two panels or metal sheets that are joined together with foam in between them. The thickness of the foam differs depending on the type of the cabin and the purpose it is to be used for but generally is about 2 inches to 4 inches.

These puf sandwich panels are also used in the making of the roofs of these temporary houses. These panels are efficiently durable and long lasting. The panels are light in weight and therefore easy to carry which again makes these an ideal choice in the making of temporary houses. The puf panels are also very useful in maintaining the temperature and keeping the cabin from heating up or cooling down too much because of the weather.

Now there is another feature of these cabins that is minor yet extremely essential, purlins. These are the metal pieces that join the panels to make the house stand. There are two types of purlins that purlin manufacturers produce, C type purlins and Z type purlins. It is also known that Z type are stronger than the C type but these are not always required for every design of temporary houses. The purlins also need to be strong enough to hold solar panels over the roof. Well, the solar mounting structure manufacturers in India too make sure that these are light in weight to be transported easily.
